LARGO, FLA. (August 25, 2026) – Cypress Palms, a senior living community located on The Palms of Largo campus and managed by The Goodman Group, is proud to announce that its executive director, Melissa Wojewnik, has been named the 2026 Assisted Living Facility Administrator of the Year by the Florida Health Care Association (FHCA).

The FHCA is the state’s largest and leading advocate for long-term care providers and the residents entrusted in their care. Founded in 1954, the FHCA recognizes the outstanding contributions of two long-term care leaders each year through its Nursing Home and Assisted Living Facility Administrator of the Year awards.
These awards honor leaders who demonstrate a commitment to quality care through their dedication to residents, team members and the profession. Wojewnik was presented with her award last month during the FHCA’s annual Conference & Trade Show in Orlando, Fla.
“It is an immense honor to be recognized by the Florida Health Care Association with this award,” Wojewnik said. “This distinction reflects the dedication, compassion and commitment to excellence demonstrated every day by the Cypress Palms team. I am grateful to work alongside such talented individuals and to have the opportunity to serve our residents and families. It is a joy to lead a team and community filled with such enthusiasm and togetherness.”
Wojewnik began her career as a caregiver and advanced through several life enrichment and administrative roles before becoming executive director of Cypress Palms. Her people-centered approach and passion for providing quality care shine through in everything she does. Wojewnik is also actively involved in dementia and Alzheimer’s education, civic engagement and FHCA service on the Florida Center for Assisted Living and Public Relations Committees.
Wojewnik and the Cypress Palms team look forward to continue providing Platinum Service® and compassionate care for each resident, family member and guest served.
